I 'lost' a friend to - Size Matters | Australian bodybuilding, health ...

A friend of mine who has hoisted some decent weights and has been an accomplished PT for over 10 years, recently told me that he no longer eats meat.

He has become a VEGAN.

In a series of increasingly alarming text messages, he advised me that he became a vegan because of (1) ethics; and (2) health (a bit).

He then proceeded to tell me that:

* we are getting cancers from all the 'crap' in meat, eggs and dairy

* we are all killing ourselves with the saturated fats etc..

* vegans live a lot longer and have a much lower risk of getting cancer (50% less apparently)

* he now eats tempeh, which has as much protein as meat and is complete

* since becoming a convert, he has lost fat and strength is steady

What do YOU peeps think????
